for beginners with a professional interest,
and for anyone needing project modules.

P182 PIC Training Course £???
(Coming October 2010)

For £??? you get a modular programmer consisting of USB interface PCB + programmer PCB + PIC16F1827 experimental PCB + PIC18F13k22 experimental module, LCD module, plugboard, USB lead, CD of software, and two new books Experimenting with 18 pin 16F PICs and Experimenting with 20 pin 18F PICs.

The GPIC18 and GPIC20 modules also have an infrared receiver and transmitter fitted as standard and have provision for a 433Mhz radio data receiver and transmitter to be fitted, making this the most effective training system for PICs ever devised.

(Postage & ins UK £???, Europe £???, rest of world £???).

Optional extras include the GPIC28 experimental PCB for use with the PIC16F1936, PIC18F2321 and PIC18F25K22. The software is the same as supplied with the P928 course.

The rest of this page needs to be updated.

Here we see the USB PCB + programmer PCB + GPIC61 experimental PCB (which is being updated to become the GPIC18 and GPIC20 modules with new facilities). The power for all these circuits is taken from your PC via the USB lead.

This picture shows the GPIC21 experimental PCB with an LCD and keypad attached. The PCB and keypad are optional extras. The LCD supplied with the P182 course fits both experimental PCBs.
To experiment with a PIC16F870 or PIC18F2321 (or any other 28 pin PIC) we simply pull off the PIC16F627A PCB and fit the GPIC21 PCB in its place.
In this picture we have removed the USB interface PCB from the programmer and connected it directly to the GPIC21 experimental PCB. The idea is that when your software has been developed it is possible to use the USB interface PCB as part of the project. (A new USB PCB can be purchased if required).

During the development of your project the USB interface PCB can be used to communicate with the experimental PCB with the programmer PCB in situ by changing the serial switches on the programmer PCB.

The PCB at the bottom of this picture is a radio transmitter PCB which can be used to transmit data to a suitable receiver PCB. (Click here for more information about the radio PCBs).

The GPIC21 experimental PCB also has an infra red LED for transmitting IR data.
In this picture the Brunning Software RxTx PCB has been fitted with a radio receiver so that the data being received from the two radio temperature transmitters can be displayed on the LCD.

The RxTx PCB is being used to provide power to the GPIC21 PCB.

Click here for more information about the radio PCBs.

Here the RxTx PCB has a radio transmitter fitted. The PIC on the GPIC21 PCB is using the radio transmitter to control four mains voltage house lights. One of the four receivers is shown at the top of the picture.
