In January 2008 we rationalised our PIC courses so now the only difference between our PIC courses is the books which are supplied with them.
The CD supplied with the course includes our latest PIC assembler BSPWA which is a brilliant easy to use Windows programme which can only be run within Windows XP, Vista or later. The CD also contains BSPA our original DOS based assembler which be run within Windows 98 or straight from DOS.
The DOS based programme is very good and we have received excellent feedback over the years. BUT Windows being a graphical environment makes programming a simulator so much easier The new simulator in the Windows version simulates the four LEDs, the LCD display, the keypad and the 2 push buttons, as well as displaying all the usual registers and RAM. The result is that the latest Windows version of our assembler knocks the DOS version into yesterdays software.
We recommend that you purchase the Windows version P928-V or PH28-V, and if you really must use an old computer, you can run our DOS assembler BSPA - it can be run directly from the CD without needing to be installed.
